Let's take care of ourselves!
This blog begins in a particular situation: locked up at home, fighting globally against a pandemic.
Therefore, we cannot tell you about any news or proposals because we think that there is no point in talking about this now. There will be time for fun and you can be sure that we will organize proposals, parties and activities to enjoy the estate, the outdoors, to be able to meet together and share wines and cavas. The most important thing now is that you are all well!
Olivé Batllori is based on caring for and sharing this place, this special estate, with people through the products and activities we do. And these days we have to care more than share…
… Take care of the farm so that the vines, despite everything, continue their rhythm and begin to sprout.
... Taking care of people, both the team and collaborators (restaurants, stores, distributors, suppliers...) which means both taking the necessary measures to avoid contagion and also being by their side and looking to the future.
… Taking care of you, sending you all the support and encouragement, because this affects us all, we who have the winery at a minimum and all activities stopped but also all of you, among whom there are workers, self-employed and entrepreneurs in difficult times, businesses with their shutters down, exhausted medical staff, transporters who have to guarantee distribution or supermarket staff who work in complicated conditions.
And that's why we've been thinking about what's the best way to take care of all this? Should we sell remotely? Is it better not to? For now, we've decided that we won't make any shipments for the first fifteen days, to avoid contact as much as possible and ensure that transport is for minimum services and essential goods.
If the situation is prolonged, as expected, we will open the sale with a safe protocol in order to be able to continue the activity partially, to be able to continue offering our products to those who think, like us, that this situation with a glass of wine or cava becomes more pleasant, that we can take advantage of to make more leisurely meals without the rush that often accompanies us, add a little joy to the confinement and share the life and soul of this place and project through our bottles.
We hope to welcome you back soon and share the farm and the winery! Until then, let's all take care of ourselves!
