Batllori Brut Rosat awarded the GOLD MEDAL at the 2023 VINARI AWARDS
On October 7th we woke up happy. Happy with the recognition that the previous day was given to us by the Vinari 2023 Awards, a reference competition where the best wineries, wines, sparkling wines and wine tourism experiences in Catalonia are awarded and for which we already received recognition in 2021.
In its eleventh edition held in Vilafranca del Penedès, our cava Batllori Brut Rosé 2020 received the Gold Medal as one of the best rosé sparkling wines reserve of Catalonia, placing us in a well-deserved and disputed second place on the podium. On this occasion, 20 tasters certified the winner for each participating category, in total, a hundred sommeliers and oenologists who were part of the jury and tasted all the products of the participating wineries blind. The Batllori Brut Rosat is a organic sparkling wine 100% Pinot Noir made following the traditional method and which has rested for more than 12 months in the cellars of the Batllori winery. With a pale pink color and soft notes of red fruits, it is a fresh cava, very versatile and one of the most requested from the winery. It is ideal to drink as an aperitif accompanied by a cheese board, as a glass afterwork or even to accompany dishes with more fat, like a good risotto or with some oily fish.
